WE2030 in Alberta, Canada is about engaged citizens seeking new possibilities for the future: inspired and informed by some of the world’s best thinking through involvement in a World Expo bid for 2030.
Ideas. Culture. Innovation.
Imagine a place that connects us.
Since the first Great Exhibition in 1851, World Expos have brought us together as citizens to marvel at the advances of today, and to dream about the future of tomorrow. They inspire us with possibility, and bring us into contact with the best thinking of the world around us.

Unifying moments that connect us.
– Embrace ideas that matter
There are many among us who will remember the pride of Canada hosting the world in Montreal at Expo ’67 during our Centennial year. More recently, others will recall Expo ’86 in Vancouver, as it transformed the city and helped shape the thinking of the generation that experienced it.
Both were events that united us as Canadians, and changed the way we interacted with the world at the time. Seeking a World Expo in Alberta for 2030 is an intentional act to bring similar inspiration to our current generation.

Can we count on you?
The organizing committee behind WE2030 is entirely composed of private citizens like you.
We represent a cross-section of our community, united by the vision that a World Expo in our province would catalyze new action on many fronts: social, cultural, technological, and economic.
We’re connected and inspired by the ideas that a world expo brings forward to our local and global stage, and how these ideas bridge us to a new sense of possibility.
